Web searches (before search tool access was cut off due to a rate limit) turned up multiple outlets reporting the same episode: The Jerusalem Post explicitly attributes the initial report to CBS reporter Jennifer Jacobs on X/Twitter, saying an A-10 Thunderbolt and roughly eight F-15s were damaged in strikes on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. Military Times, Air & Space Forces Magazine, The Aviationist, and Free Press Journal all published nearly identical details (A-10 lost/severely damaged a wing, ~8 F-15s lightly damaged but serviceable), with Military Times headlining that a 'US official' confirmed the damage, suggesting some independent corroboration beyond the original CBS post. I was not able to complete additional searches (the search tool hit a usage limit) to find a direct CBS article, nor to locate any dedicated fact-check from Reuters Fact Check, AFP Fact Check, Bellingcat, or EUvsDisinfo specifically examining this claim.
