Claim

Mossad will provide the Shin Bet security service with an assessment of suspected foreign interference in the country's recent election.

Evidence

A web search found a Jerusalem Post article headlined "Mossad to provide Shin Bet with assessment of suspected foreign interference in elections" (jpost.com/israel-election-2026/article-913410). It says an official, authorized source confirmed on Saturday that the Mossad will give the Shin Bet its assessment of suspicions of foreign interference in the Knesset elections. It says the Shin Bet probe was announced a day before the Mossad reports circulated. It also says the probe was ordered by Central Elections Committee chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg, and that Qatar and Turkey were suspected of trying to influence Arab Israeli voters. The article says it is unclear whether the assessment contains investigative findings or only an expert opinion. I found no independent outlet confirming this, and no Reuters, AFP, Bellingcat or EUvsDisinfo fact-check on it. I did not read the article's full text. The election date it gives (October 27) looks odd next to the 'israel-election-2026' URL, and I did not resolve that.

Assessment

The claim matches the Jerusalem Post article it is attributed to, which cites an official source. I found no second outlet confirming it, and the content of the assessment is unclear.

Confidence

Some independent corroboration was found, but it isn't yet conclusive.
