Claim

Middle East Eye reported that the Houthis and the internationally recognised Yemeni government have blamed each other for the attack.

Attributed to Houthis and Yemeni government

Evidence

A search found the Middle East Eye live-blog item. Its headline is "Houthis and Yemeni government blame each other for Taiz market attack that killed 30". The text says the Houthis and the internationally recognised government blamed each other for a deadly attack on a market in Taiz province on Friday. The Houthis said Saudi aircraft carried out the strikes. The government blamed the Houthis. Al Jazeera, Gulf News, Yahoo and others report the same mutual blame. I found no Reuters, AFP, Bellingcat or EUvsDisinfo fact-check. The claim is only that MEE reported the mutual blame, not about who was actually responsible, so none was needed.

Assessment

The Middle East Eye article exists and says what the claim describes. Al Jazeera and other outlets independently report both sides trading blame. The responsibility for the attack itself remains disputed, but the claim does not address that.

Confidence

Independent, reputable sources corroborate (or refute) this claim directly.
