Georgia's State Security Service said it is investigating social media posts on X in which accounts boasted about urinating and spitting in food served to Russian tourists, describing the claims as false and the accounts as foreign-controlled bots. The agency framed the campaign as an attempt to inflame tensions between Georgians and Russians, a sensitive issue since large numbers of Russians relocated to Georgia after the 2022 invasion.
