The head of a coalition of aid groups told the UN that the US-backed Board of Peace, a body set up to help manage Gaza's reconstruction and governance, is failing and has instead helped entrench Israel's continued control over the territory. Athena Rayburn said the board's structure undermines genuine Palestinian self-governance and reconstruction efforts.
