Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran is ready for cooperation and understanding with regional countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, according to remarks reported by Middle East Eye. He noted that Iran sold about 90 million barrels of oil during the implementation of an interim deal, while US sanctions and a blockade have cut Iran's exports and imports by as much as 35 percent. The comments come as Iran continues to grapple with the economic fallout of sanctions and the aftermath of its war with Israel, with Pezeshkian's outreach seen as an attempt to shore up regional ties and ease some of the pressure squeezing the Iranian economy.
