An Israeli air strike on the town of Arab Salim in southern Lebanon on Thursday killed a newlywed woman and wounded several others, according to Lebanon's Health Ministry. The ministry said Israeli military attacks have killed at least 4,352 people and wounded 12,318 others in Lebanon since March 2, 2025. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said that despite lower overall violence levels compared to earlier in the year, the situation in south Lebanon remains fragile, recording continued incidents between 21-27 August. The rising toll underscores the persistent low-intensity conflict between Israel and Lebanon despite a nominal ceasefire framework.
