Israel carried out a rare airstrike on the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, killing three Palestinians the Israeli military identified as Hamas operatives. The Shin Bet said the strike targeted Qais Bitawi, described as the head of Hamas activity in Jenin, along with others. Al Jazeera reported that the drone strike was the first such attack in the West Bank since February 2025, marking a notable escalation in Israeli military activity in the territory after a period of relative restraint from aerial strikes there.
