South Africa submitted a new dossier to the International Court of Justice on August 25 accusing Israel of failing to comply with the court's legally binding provisional measures in the ongoing Gaza genocide case. South Africa's Department of International Relations and Cooperation said the filing is intended to assist an ICJ committee tasked with monitoring Israel's implementation of the court's orders. The move represents a continuation of South Africa's legal campaign against Israel at the ICJ, adding new documentation to the case that has drawn international attention since it was first filed in late 2023.
