A professional committee has recommended that the Shin Bet provide former IDF chief and opposition figure Gadi Eisenkot with armed security, with a final decision to be made by a group of ministers headed by Netanyahu. The panel also considered a similar request from Yair Golan for state-funded bodyguards but has not yet issued a recommendation on it.
