A BBC team traveling with a UN peacekeeping humanitarian mission into occupied areas of southern Lebanon reported that Israeli troops are fortifying positions and continuing demolitions, according to Lebanese officials, pointing to an ongoing Israeli military presence beyond agreed withdrawal lines. The findings raised concerns about the durability of ceasefire arrangements in the area. Separately, Israel released five Lebanese men its forces had detained in areas under military control in southern Lebanon, after interrogators reportedly determined the men had no affiliation with any armed organization and there were no grounds to continue holding them, according to Prime Minister Netanyahu's office.
