Israel's attorney general gave Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich the go-ahead to slash fuel taxes, which is expected to lower prices at the pump to NIS 7.75 per liter once he signs off, after speculation the move could be blocked over electioneering concerns ahead of elections.
