Yemen's government-aligned forces reported large-scale strikes against Houthi positions across multiple fronts, including al-Sharyah, Dhi Naim, al-Bayda and al-Sawadiyah districts, claiming hits on a missile-launching platform and other targets. The renewed fighting has since escalated as the Houthis press an offensive to seize territory near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The Iran-backed Houthis have since accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out air strikes and missile attacks across Houthi-held territory, including a deadly bombardment of the al-Hazm prison that reportedly killed seven people. Houthi-run media released footage of the destruction, as fighting between the Saudi-backed Yemeni government and Houthi forces continues across the country's poorest regions.
