A magistrate in Russia's Ryazan region sentenced Yelena Morgunova, wife of performance artist Pavel Krisevich, to 14 additional days of administrative detention on a charge of refusing a drug test, according to the Slovo Zashchite legal aid project. Morgunova had been due for release from jail when the new sentence was handed down. The case adds to a pattern of Russian authorities using administrative charges to prolong the detention of activists and relatives of dissidents connected to anti-war or artistic dissent.
