Scientists found that blocking a protein called SET prevented glioblastoma tumors from forming in preclinical models, while targeting related proteins made cancer cells more vulnerable to radiation, by restoring activity of a tumor-suppressing enzyme called PP2A. Human testing is needed to confirm safety and effectiveness.
