A massive iceberg over 76 square kilometers that broke from Greenland's Petermann Glacier in August 2026, in the Arctic's largest glacier calving event since 2020, slammed into Joe Island but survived intact. Satellites are now tracking the iceberg as it drifts through Nares Strait.
