Google DeepMind introduced a new AI tool called AlphaGenome Atlas, which its researchers describe as containing a predictive map of every possible single-letter change across the human genome. The platform is intended to help scientists better understand how genetic variations relate to disease and biological function. DeepMind scientists say the tool could accelerate genomics research and eventually pave the way for new disease treatments, by allowing researchers to more quickly identify which genetic variants are likely to have meaningful biological effects.
