A Boeing 767-300 cargo plane operated for Amazon overshot the runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday, killing five people and seriously injuring five others. Video footage showed the aircraft bursting into flames after the crash, and federal aviation investigators, including the NTSB, are examining the wreckage and flight data to determine the cause. Investigators have now disclosed that the victims were inside vehicles on the ground when the plane struck them, rather than being airport personnel caught outdoors, adding a grim new detail to the unfolding probe. Authorities have not yet released the identities of all victims or determined why the aircraft failed to stop within the runway distance.
