Hawaii's Big Island began damage assessment and cleanup efforts after Hurricane Lala, downgraded to a tropical storm, passed by while continuing to dump heavy rain across the archipelago. Hawaii Gov. Josh Green said officials were still investigating whether any deaths were linked to the storm as recovery work got underway.
