Thieves stole paintings by Pierre-Auguste Renoir from a Renoir museum in southern France in a pre-dawn break-in, in a heist authorities value at more than $10 million. Initial reports said three paintings were taken, with a fourth abandoned during the thieves' escape. Updated reporting now indicates all four paintings, together worth about $10.5 million, are missing following the break-in, revising earlier accounts that one had been left behind. Investigators are continuing to search for the stolen works and the perpetrators.
