Following the firing of longtime 'Wheel of Fortune' announcer Jim Thornton after he was allegedly caught using a child-predator chat website, the show taped its latest episode without an announcer, with host Ryan Seacrest carrying on as normal. Separately, organizers of the chat room website Lifeline.chat where Thornton was allegedly active spoke out about the incident following his firing.
