Ukraine's General Staff updated its running tally of Russian military casualties, saying Russia has lost more than 1.5 million soldiers killed and wounded since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, including 1,480 killed and wounded over the past day alone. The figures, which cannot be independently verified, are published daily by Kyiv as part of its wartime reporting.
