Idea Factory International announced on September 10, 2026 that the action RPG Villion:Code, developed with Compile Heart and already released in Japan earlier in the year, would be localised for Western markets in 2027. The publisher said the game would arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch, and released an announcement trailer alongside details on the game's official website. Villion:Code is set in a world where humanity faces extinction and follows students trapped inside an academy who must fight mutant creatures called GEMs. The confirmation mattered for the niche Japanese RPG audience outside Japan, as many Compile Heart titles historically go unlocalised, and the five-platform commitment signalled that Idea Factory intends to continue supporting both Switch generations simultaneously well into 2027. The announcement was one of several smaller publisher items reported that day by Simulation Daily.
