On the afternoon of September 10, Russian forces struck a shopping centre in central Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, killing at least four to five people and injuring more than 60-67 others, according to regional head Oleksandr Hanzha and Ukrainian officials. Authorities described the strike as one of the deadliest recent attacks on the city, with rescue operations continuing into the following day. Among those killed were two DTEK power engineers, Vitalii Huba and Yevhen Shevchenko, employees of Ukraine's largest private energy company. Combat medic and Ukrainska Pravda 100 nominee Olena Rij was also injured in the attack, saying she was engulfed in flames after the final explosion and remains hospitalized with burns, adding a personal dimension to the toll from the strike.
