Ukraine's General Staff released updated figures on Russian military casualties, reporting approximately 1,490 to 1,520 Russian soldiers killed or wounded over the past day. Such daily loss estimates are routinely published by Ukrainian authorities as part of ongoing battlefield reporting. Separately, British military intelligence estimated that around 500,000 Russian soldiers have been killed since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, with the majority of these deaths occurring after January 2023. The UK figures offer a longer-term cumulative perspective on Russian battlefield losses, complementing Ukraine's daily casualty reports.
