President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney signed a declaration establishing a 100-year partnership between the two countries, envisaging elevation of bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership, including in defence and continued assistance to Ukraine. Building on that declaration, Canada announced it will provide about UAH 1.29 billion (roughly US$28.9 million) to support Ukrainian veterans and their families, contributing to a new international multi-donor veterans' fund. The funding underscores Canada's ongoing commitment to Ukraine's long-term recovery and social support systems for those affected by the war.
