The European Commission approved a 6.1 billion euro transfer to Ukraine under the Ukraine Support Loan program, allowing Kyiv to use European funds—originally restricted to European-made weapons—to purchase air defense systems including PAC-3 interceptor missiles for Patriot batteries, EU Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius said. Separately, the EU dismissed Russian claims that Brussels was pressuring Ukraine to mobilize women as Kremlin disinformation.
