At BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard unveiled Overwatch's newest hero, a vampire-inspired support character (also referred to as 'Doctrine'), pushing the game further into fantasy territory than ever before. The reveal came alongside the conclusion of Act III of the Reign of Talon storyline, a new map, and major reworks for two long-criticized veteran heroes: Roadhog, who is being adjusted to be more team-oriented, and Sombra, who is shifting from damage to a support role.
