Blizzard announced during BlizzCon 2026 that Hearthstone will receive its first new class in four years, the fire-breathing panda Monk, leaving Evoker as the only class yet to join the base roster. The reveal came alongside a new expansion, 'Reign of the Black Empire,' set 10,000 years in the past and centered on the conflict between the Old Gods and the Titans, plus a new story-driven journal feature.
