At least 1,400 refugees fleeing Yemen arrived in Djibouti within a 24-hour period, according to Djibouti's economy minister, as the Houthi offensive along the Red Sea coast drives mass displacement. The UN's International Organization for Migration says at least 46,000 people have been displaced by the fighting. A later count from Al Jazeera puts the number of Yemenis who have fled to Djibouti since the escalation began at more than 2,000, underscoring the accelerating pace of the exodus as fighting along Yemen's western coast intensifies.
