One found the medications may raise hair-loss risk by about 7% in men genetically predisposed to male-pattern baldness, suggesting a biological link between GLP-1 activity and hair follicles beyond rapid weight loss. Another study found semaglutide helped older mice live longer while improving memory, muscle function, and blood sugar control, with effects exceeding those of calorie restriction alone.
