Russia carried out a large-scale wave of attacks across Ukraine on September 12-13, launching over 450 attack drones in a single overnight barrage, of which Ukrainian air defenses reported downing or jamming 409. Strikes hit at least 13 locations nationwide, including Kyiv Oblast. A follow-up wave on September 13 saw Russian forces launch a further 323 attack drones, 310 of which were shot down or neutralized by Ukrainian defenses, extending the multi-day bombardment. Among the strikes, a Russian drone hit an ambulance in Kherson's Korabelnyi district, setting the vehicle on fire; the medics on board were injured and the patient being transported was evacuated to hospital. The continued barrages and attacks on medical personnel underscore the sustained intensity and civilian toll of Russia's ongoing aerial campaign against Ukraine.
