Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said Warsaw will not obstruct the opening of European Commission negotiating clusters for Ukraine's EU accession process, telling his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha in Kyiv that Ukraine is considered ready for negotiations. Sikorski cautioned, however, that formally closing the negotiation clusters would still take considerable time. The comments signal continued Polish support for Ukraine's EU integration path even as bilateral tensions over other issues persist, and come amid broader European efforts to advance Kyiv's membership bid alongside ongoing security and defense discussions.
