German journalist Angelique Geray posed online as a fan of Russian President Vladimir Putin to investigate how covert Russian agents operate within Germany. According to a documentary that aired on German television network RTL in early September, suspected Russian agents quickly approached her with offers of Bitcoin payments in exchange for running local errands.
