The Kremlin said no decision has been made on whether President Putin will attend the G20 summit, while dismissing a meeting proposal from Zelensky. Separately, a White House official said a Russian official is expected to attend a G20 energy meeting in Houston next week, following earlier contacts between Russian and US counterparts. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov further stated that a Putin-Zelensky meeting at the G20 summit in Miami is "impossible," insisting that Putin will only agree to meet with Zelensky in Moscow. The remarks harden the Kremlin's position on direct talks and cast further doubt on prospects for a leader-level meeting on the sidelines of the summit.
