Blizzard used BlizzCon 2026 to officially reveal Diablo 5, confirmed to be in full production and arriving in spring 2029, set 100 years after Diablo 4. Game director Joe Shely and director Brent Gibson detailed new features including procedural worlds, additional classes, and other systems aimed at expanding the franchise's scope. In a follow-up panel, Shely revealed that Diablo 5 will launch with more classes than any other entry in the series' history. Three of the launch classes were confirmed as Monk, Demon Hunter, and a new class called Plague Knight, with further details on the full roster expected as development continues toward the 2029 release.
