Blizzard announced at BlizzCon 2026 that the Monk class is coming to Hearthstone, its first new class addition in four years, leaving only the Evoker unrepresented. The reveal came alongside a new expansion, Reign of the Black Empire, set 10,000 years in the past and focused on a conflict between the Old Gods and the Titans, plus a more story-driven journal feature.
