At least one person has died and 25 remain missing after a boat carrying migrants sank off the Greek island of Gavdos near Crete. Some 51 people have been rescued so far as search operations continue in the area. The incident adds to the ongoing toll of migrant deaths in the Mediterranean as people continue to attempt dangerous sea crossings toward Europe.
