Following its BlizzCon reveal, Blizzard detailed WoW Forever, its next classic-style World of Warcraft experience, which will introduce more than 1,000 new quests. Senior game designer Josh Greenfield discussed with GameSpot how the team is handling this massive expansion of content, and in follow-up coverage Blizzard addressed persistent fan questions about whether a full WoW 2 could ever materialize, suggesting WoW Forever is intended to deliver much of what players might want from a sequel without a full engine reboot. In a separate interview, Blizzard also finally revealed the fate of World of Warcraft's famous oversized sword prop after eight years of player speculation, closing out one of the game's longest-running community mysteries alongside the broader wave of BlizzCon-era WoW disclosures.
