New research suggests that faster biological aging may help explain why cancer rates are rising among adults under 55. Scientists found that people from more recent generations tend to have bodies that appear biologically older than earlier generations at the same chronological age, and that greater biological age acceleration correlates with higher risk of early-onset cancers, including lung, gastrointestinal, uterine, and colorectal cancers.
