Scientists surveying waters off Benin discovered a deep coral reef teeming with life more than 60 years after earlier surveys suggested it was likely dead. Cameras captured healthy coral patches and multiple fish species over 50 meters below the surface, prompting researchers to suggest that other overlooked reefs may still exist undocumented along West Africa's coast.
