NATO fighter jets destroyed a drone that entered Lithuanian airspace overnight after flying in from Belarus, according to Ukrainska Pravda. The incident adds to a series of recent airspace violations along NATO's eastern flank linked to the war in Ukraine. Lithuanian bomb disposal experts subsequently neutralized an explosive device found at the drone's crash site, though Defence Minister Robertas Kaunas later said the drone itself appeared not to have contained explosives. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the incident alongside a separate case in which a Russian frigate fired signal flares near a Danish military helicopter, describing the events as part of a pattern of Russian provocations rather than isolated incidents.
