Ukrainian long-range strike weapons manufacturer Fire Point announced on September 11 that it is ready to supply the military with the FP-7 short-range ballistic missile, intended to replace or supplement the U.S.-supplied ATACMS. The company is also continuing to test the medium-range FP-9, a missile type Ukraine does not currently possess. Fire Point says that with adequate funding it could produce up to three FP-9 missiles a day within the coming months, though the report notes that scaling up mass production of missiles like the 'Flamingo' has proven difficult, underscoring the challenges Ukraine faces in building an independent deep-strike capability against Russia.
