Repeated Russian strikes on Sumy Oblast destroyed a 36.6 MW power generation facility belonging to a member of the Association of Distributed and Flexible Generation, wiping out roughly a quarter of the region's power generation capacity. The attacks add to a pattern of Russian strikes targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure ahead of winter. The destruction threatens to worsen electricity shortages in the frontline region, which has already faced repeated Russian bombardment throughout the war.
