Rapper Macklemore was dropped from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour lineup following a pressure campaign reportedly tied to his pro-Palestinian statements made on stage; Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez alleged Robert Kraft helped organize stadium pressure to have him removed. In response, every supporting act on the tour — including Finneas, Lukas Graham and Aaron Rowe — quit in solidarity, citing the need to not silence artists speaking up for the oppressed. Sheeran said he was not personally responsible for Macklemore being dropped. AOC said she would no longer listen to Sheeran's music but expressed empathy for his position, describing him as caught in the middle of the controversy.
