Joe Brammer, CEO of Bulkhead Interactive and its game Wardogs, publicly defended a policy of only hiring developers willing to crunch, calling the studio 'a place you come to work hard' and stating 'if you care about what you're making, this is the place to work.' The comments have drawn criticism as a controversial stance on labor practices in the games industry. Separately, Wardogs has also drawn praise for including a full server browser, a feature IGN and PC Gamer noted was notably absent from Battlefield 6 despite its scale, positioning the game favorably against larger console-focused shooters.
