Snap introduced 'Specs Intelligence,' a new AI assistant built into its $2,200 Specs augmented reality glasses, which the company is pitching as an 'anticipatory AI service' capable of connecting to other digital accounts to help manage tasks, travel information, and daily priorities. The tool is positioned as a competitor to other AI assistants such as Meta's Muse and Google's Gemini Spark, and will also be available on iOS and Mac. A hands-on review from The Verge described using the Specs glasses for shared augmented reality experiences, such as playing a virtual game of dominoes with another person wearing the same device, calling the shared physical-digital interaction unlike anything available in current VR headsets or smart glasses.
