U.S. authorities have since detailed the network further, dubbing it the 'RIS Network' and saying it plotted assassinations of Russian dissidents not only in Washington but also in Vilnius, Lithuania. Five people — citizens of Russia, Cuba, and Venezuela, including an ex-Russian colonel with ties to Putin, his FSB-officer son, and a Cuban dancer — have been charged in connection with the alleged plots and related sabotage operations in countries allied with Ukraine.
