Tampa Bay, Florida has seen a persistent pattern of afternoon and evening thunderstorms over recent days and weeks, with sea-breeze-driven storms building inland from the coast and bringing heavy rain and lightning, occasionally producing isolated minor flooding. Highs have generally been in the low-to-mid 90s with high humidity, before a brief drier, windier midweek stretch. Meteorologists also noted a short-lived 'taste of fall' arriving Wednesday into Thursday, temporarily lowering humidity before the classic summer storm pattern is expected to return.
