Google announced that it will let third-party AI agents, including Anthropic's Claude and Open Claw, access and control devices in Google Home via a new integration called Google Home MCP, based on the Model Context Protocol. The move lets outside AI assistants monitor and act on connected home devices on users' behalf, expanding the AI agent ecosystem into smart-home control.
